Mini Felt Garland
Sometimes I have a picture in my listen's eye of something I want to brand. I don't know what triggered this idea (although I'm sure information technology was my hours of trolling through Pinterest), merely I really wanted to make some felt garland. I knew this would mean dusting off my old sewing machine, merely I didn't intendance. I wanted it that badly. I'm and so happy with the style the garland turned out! Isn't it darling? I will acknowledge it's ho-hum piece of work cutting all of those shapes, simply I kinda don't mind decorated work like that. I'm non normal, though.

Here'south what you'll need to make your ain felt garland:
Felt sheets (I got mine on Etsy, but you can also buy felt on Amazon)
Circumvolve stencil (I cut three sizes: 1 3/4″, 1 1/iv″, ane″))
Fine tip Sharpie
Good sharp textile scissors
Sewing machine with white thread
How to:
1. Circles: Trace about 10-15 circle shapes of varying size per color, then cut them by hand. (I did really buy a circle cutter, just the smallest shape was 1 three/4″ in diameter. I used that size as the "biggest" in my garland.)
2. Triangles: Make a quick template to trace the triangles, then cut along the meridian which creates a strip of interlocking triangles. Information technology'southward quick and easy!
iii. Lay out your shapes in the gild and length that y'all want them. (My garland is about 10′ long.)
4. Sew the shapes together in ane long row so that there is no space in betwixt each shape.
The hard office is cutting the shapes, after that it's quite easy! I can't look to apply my garland. I do believe you'll be seeing it lots in my future posts 🙂

UPDATE: I wanted to add a photo from Christmas. Nosotros used the garland on the tree, and it looked and so pretty!
